Cercas. Soldados de Salamina Delicious intertextuality, literary dialog, ¡appearance of Bolaño! During my first reading of this text, I had some trouble connecting with the story. But about 3/4 of the way through there was a very moving scene that endeared the novel, the characters and the author to me. OK, the author already intrigued me...
Latinoamericana:

While new school books are much more exciting now, I would do well to find my inner 16-year old who got excited about the back-to-school clothes and send her shopping for me. Definitely need some things...properly fitting pants would be at the top of the list.
