Walking contradiction
He scoff-snorted as he cut in front of me on the crowded sidewalk and his eyes reflected annoyance that I couldn't walk any faster than that in those ridiculous shoes coupled with appreciation of how they made my legs look.

Upon leaving the Mirage Salon and Spa, I couldn't help but wonder,
"So, after spending several hours and the entire amount of that generous gift certificate, you mean to imply that this feeling of utter relaxation and anything beautiful about my appearance is merely a fleeting image manufactured by my dehydrated imagination?"

"Yeah, they're pretty cute shoes. Did you buy anything else at the outlets?"
"I tried on lots of stuff, but nothing really excited me. It's OK, though. It just means I'll have more money for the thrift store expedition tomorrow!" "¿?"

And, to follow up my day of shopping + lunch out...
...an evening of dinner out + shopping! With gas at $14.56/gal, we now combine errands. Yes, dinner counts as an errand. P.F. Chang's in Walnut Creek - bad review, by the way, service slow an absolute clusterf%@K! I stayed at the table waiting to pay the check so he could actually do some shopping before Nordstrom closed. He would have done the same for me if it were almost closing time at my favorite stores...
His and hers
