Now I feel super guilty for unplugging String of Lights for so long.

I don't know what made me log into my blogsites tonight. I had only a vague idea of what to write and didn't really feel much like writing that. On the blogspot side I saw that there was an unmoderated comment waiting for me. It follows, along with my translation.

Aprovecho las vacaciones de tu incansable blog para anunciarte que con la llegada del verano has recibido un Premio Limonada 50. Ánimo, Valerie, ya queda poco. I'm taking advantage of the vacation from your untiring blog to announce to you that with the arrival of summer you've received a Lemonade 50 Prize. Hang in there, Valerie, just a little bit left.
Puedes pasar a "recogerlo" por mi blog en:/ You can drop by my blog to pick it up at:

Alvi is a UCD grad student de mi camada. We sometimes use the word camada ("litter", as in litter of puppies) to refer to classmates who entered in the same year. His blog has amazing photos and is coherent and poetic and warm and evocative. Alvi on the Road is one of the blogs String of Lights wants to be when it grows up. So imagine my honor to read his description of my frivolous offering:

- String of Lights, porque la fidelidad bloguera, la constancia de escribir día a día, de encontrar siempre un detalle interesante, una paradoja, una ironía o una felicidad a la rutina cotidiana es el pan de cada día para Valery. Su blog es tan sorprendente como ella misma./Because the fidelity to blogging, the constancy of writing day-to-day, of always finding an interesting detail, a paradox, an irony or a happiness in the daily routine is daily bread for Valery. Her blog is as surprising as she herself.

My charge: to nominate 5 other blogs, which I will do on the morrow (which it technically is, at 12:03 AM).

Thanks to Alvi, for giving me tomorrow's bread, and a bit of psychic sustenance that might just keep the current flowing to the String.
